Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of wuapi, the website at wuapi.dev and the API at api.wuapi.dev. By creating an account you agree to them.

How wuapi connects to WhatsApp

wuapi is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner. wuapi connects to WhatsApp as a linked device of a phone you control, the same way WhatsApp Web does. It isn't the WhatsApp Business Platform. WhatsApp may change how linked devices work at any time, which can interrupt the service without notice.

Your numbers and your messages

• You may only connect WhatsApp numbers you own or are authorised to use.
• You are responsible for having the consent of the people you message, for the content you send, and for complying with WhatsApp's terms and the laws that apply to you.
• WhatsApp can restrict or ban numbers that send spam, unsolicited messages or traffic that looks automated. We can't prevent or reverse that, and a restricted number isn't grounds for a refund.
• You may not use wuapi for spam, fraud, harassment, or content that is illegal where it is sent or received.

Accounts and keys

Keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for all activity under your keys. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service or other customers at risk.

Billing

Organizations without a paid subscription are on the Free plan, which has no charge and the monthly limits stated on the pricing page; at a limit, connected numbers are paused until the month ends or the organization upgrades. Prices are in US dollars (USD), before tax. Connected accounts on a paid subscription are billed monthly per the prices on the pricing page, prorated when the count changes. Proxy traffic is metered; each connected account includes a monthly allowance, and traffic past it is charged per GB, per the pricing page, on the renewal invoice (or on the final invoice when a cancelled subscription ends), and also mid-period whenever the overage not yet invoiced reaches the threshold shown in Billing. Each organization has a monthly cap on proxy overage, set in Billing; at the cap, or while an invoice is unpaid, proxy traffic is paused (connected numbers are disconnected but stay linked, and sends are refused) until the cap is raised, the month ends or the invoice is paid. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Paid support plans are a separate monthly subscription, billed the same way and cancelled from the same portal. Payments

Zavu Labs Inc. is the seller of every subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe, which runs checkout, stores your payment method, and sends invoices and receipts on our behalf. Tax (sales tax, VAT or GST) is calculated at checkout from your billing address and added where it applies; Zavu Labs Inc. collects and remits it. Subscriptions renew automatically each month and the payment method on file is charged until you cancel. Billing questions go to support@wuapi.dev.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. There is no service level agreement unless your organization is on a paid support plan, which comes with the SLA at wuapi.dev/sla; its service credits are the only remedy it gives. Every organization starts on Community support, which has no SLA. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
